In June 2025, we had the pleasure of visiting the Netherlands. Each day of our stay was replete with scenic tours through the country’s charming landscapes, from the Zaanse Schans’ historic windmills to the colorful tulip fields, as well as through its eclectic assortment of artistic masterpieces. As we marveled at works from the Dutch Golden Age at the Rijksmuseum, Post-Impressionistic pieces at the Van Gogh Museum, contemporary art at the Moco Museum, and the grand vista captured by the Panorama Mesdag, we were in awe of the country’s rich and blended artistic heritage. Via our posts, we hope you get a taste of the beautiful country while pondering some interesting anthropological questions.
